We would be delighted if you could join us for one of our wine courses in Nice this autumn or St Maarten this winter. We will be offering the first three WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) courses. Successful candidates achieve a globally recognised academic qualification to add to their resumé.
Level 1 Course €250
The course encompasses all aspects of the fundamentals with an emphasis on the practical. You will cover the basics of winemaking, grape varieties, styles of wine, storage and service, and the principles of food and wine matching. After completing a short exam and set of tasting notes at the end of the day long course, you will receive – if successful – a globally recognised qualification. And it’s still huge fun! Minimum 8, Maximum 20 attendees.
30th of January 2017 (Mon)
Level 2 Course €650
Building upon the Level 1 Certificate, this course delves further into the geography of the world of wine and will broaden your appreciation and understanding of all aspects of wine in an enjoyable and entertaining way. It is a detailed introductory look at the world's most well-known wines (& spirits), grape varieties and regions, tasting around 48 different wines. While more in-depth and intensive, it is still an entry level course - you do not need any previous knowledge or certification to join it. Study packs will be distributed in advance and prior reading is recommended. Minimum 8, Maximum 18 attendees.
1st-3rd of February 2017 (Wed-Thu-Fri)
15th- 17th of March 2017 (Wed-Thu-Fri)
Level 3 Course €950
The opportunity to take one step further along the journey to wine knowledge nirvana is the Level 3 Certificate, a five day course that will leave your palate and mind wanting for nothing in wine terms. A thorough examination of the world’s wine and spirit producing areas in great detail, tasting around 84 different wines. This is of the academic standard of a UK ‘A’Level, and will require some pre-study. Five days split either side of a weekend to allow for a break and some revision. Minimum 6, Maximum 12 attendees.
Having passed the Level 2 Certificate is essential.
